ARTSfest 2007 ARTSfest 2007 presents a unique blend of the arts featuring regional artists, live music, special events, art door prizes, food, and fun for all ages.
An impressive line-up of jazz, country, folk and ethnic musicians will return to continue the ARTSfest tradition of fine music on the gazebo, some of whom will come from as far away as New York City. What else is new for those who attended the two prior events and think they've seen it all? Not to be missed this year is a parade of spectacular giant puppets fabricated by a creative group of North Carolina artists. You may even find yourself participating in this special ARTSfest extravaganza. "You can definitely find some of your favorite artists returning as well as a whole array of newcomers offering items for every day use and one-of-kind pieces for the art collector," says ARTSfest co-chair Kathleen Ramich. "Whether your passion is designer fashion and jewelry, state-of-the-art furniture, fine oil paintings, pastels, or avant-garde designs in glass, ceramics, or wood, ARTSfest is the place to look for it. You can even go home with an exotic Henna tattoo," adds co-chair Cathy Stanley. Attendees can enjoy great music and food at the same time, and children will have a choice of activities. ARTSfest is a community event made possible by the generosity of our sponsors and volunteers. This year's title sponsors include North Carolina Signature Magazine, The Community Arts Café, The Winston-Salem Journal, Latitude Magazine, 88.5 WFDD, Diversified Advertising Services, Hawthorne Gallery, Inc., Leonard Ryden Burr Real Estate, Sign-A-Rama, West End Association and West End Village. Other sponsors include many area businesses that recognize the value that the arts bring to Winston-Salem. Grace
Court is located at the intersection of Glade Street and W. Fourth
Street in Rain date: Sunday, Sept. 30.
